The heart of the CMLC is in its sharing of cultures, languages, experiences, and ideas.
The Corvallis Multicultural Literacy Center is a place where people, cultures, and community come together. Over the years CMLC has continued to offer services and programs rarely found in a single organization, such as:
- Did you know more than 74 people passed their citizenship test with the help of CMLC’s Citizenship and Naturalization Program?
- Did you know that 4 people received a citizenship loan for their citizenship applications?
- Did you know that more than 100 students enrolled CMLC’s language and meditation classes this past year?
- Did you know that CMLC connected people from Korea, Thailand, Mexico, Brazil, Saudi Arabia, Poland, Chile, Philippines, Italy, Japan, Indonesia, Iran, Turkey, Ecuador, Bolivia, Myanmar, India, El Salvador, Colombia, Taiwan, Cameroon, Libya, and China through our language classes and Conversation Partner Program?
- Did you know that 204 people were paired in our Conversation Partner program last year, and 44 more just in the past two months?
- Did you know that 11 DACA applicants received their DACA renewals with CMLC?
